1 out of 5 stars Really bad !!!!!   November 17, 2008
Not worth to buy. Bad Quality and really bad comments from unknown people who have nothing to say. Too of these Dvd's are just the same. Ridiculous. The booklet is a joke. Somebody wanted to make money and now they have mine. I'm really upset.

2 out of 5 stars Uninspired Cash-In   September 7, 2008

3 DVDs and a book pertaining to be the 'ultimate critical review' of Abba's work sounds good in theory, but nothing here aside from some possibly unseen performance footage, is anything beyond bland.

Two of the discs attempt to cover all eight studio albums, rating them out of five (in which 'Ring Ring' is allegedly better than 'Super Trouper') while a small group of unknown journalists, singers, musicians plus the guys from Bjorn Again, try to dissect the group's material. It doesn't appear to matter that one of the journos doesn't to even know the names of some of them (...or I'd sure love to hear what 'Money Honey' sounds like) while others simply get things wrong - as does whoever wrote the copy that appears on screen when songs are played - and have nothing interesting to say whatsoever. The third DVD is much the same, but focusing only on 'Arrival'.

The book is far worse. It supposedly lists every song (but of course doesn't) and summarises them sometimes only in one sentence the likes of: this is a good song, but it is only album filler, no more, no less. To make matters worse, it was evidently never proof read for spelling and grammar issues.

Watch it for the Abba footage, fast-forward through everything else.

1 out of 5 stars Not ABBA as we know it!   September 3, 2008

This is not as advertised: Abba (Artist) "Abba - Thank You For The Music" [DVD] - it is a collection of three poorly put together DVDs under the title "ABBA - The Dancing Queen Collection - the Ultimate Critical Review" with a small inferior quality book. The whole set is unauthorised and not worth buying.

2 out of 5 stars Disappointed - but it's cheap   August 30, 2008

I'm very disappointed with this. It's an unauthorized collection of DVDs. It's presented predominantly in 16:9 format but the archive footage of ABBA is a mishmash of 16:9 and 4:3. I've only watched disk 1 and sometimes Agnetha and Anni-Frid look nice and slim, other times they (and Larry Grayson) are horribly bloated. It's cheap but don't go there!
