Essential book for Digicam owners who go out at night February 17, 2007 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
This is a long overdue book. Using any camera after dark can be rewarding - if you know how to get the best from it. Digital cameras, however, need a different approach in some respects from conventional cameras and this book not only deals with those areas and issues but also successfully manages to introduce night and low light photography to anyone that has not dared to risk doing so before. It's a testament to the author (and a skill which few posess) that he manages to to this without alienating the more skilled. The book covers all areas of low light work, from sunsets and gloomy days through to an introduction to astrophotography. My only criticism is that the paper the book is printed on doesn't do justice to some of the images - they would be far better served if printed on glossy paper.
