I work partime in a theatre, and I needed to learn the basics of miking up vocals and a wide range of instruments. This book is perfect- it explains simply and concisely how to do this, providing very useful practical tips, and even pitfalls to be careful of. When needed, it goes into detail, providing you with just the right amount you need to know. I have found this an invaluable resource, and I am constantly referring back to it for many things. This is a great resource and many of the other books which I possess in this series are equally useful.

This book, by a renound writer in the music industry has again proved to be a very usefull tool for the recording musician. It describes in deatail very usefull ways of the uses of microphones and how they work but, this is undergone in a very easy to understand way.
