 The Coolest Way to Learn Italian! June 15, 2007
Fantastic! Exactly what the iPod was designed for!
First of all iSpeak marks the end of my embarrassing fumbling with phrasebooks in Roman restaurants - it's a lovely, descrete translation device! As I expected with the phrasebook format, everything's categorized into topics, and it's pretty easy to find what I need. But seriously it is also really helping me learn the language. I'm picking up new phrases - and remembering them - really effectively. The Italian is really clearly pronounced and reading the words at the same time as hearing them spoken seems to reinforce the message. A really terrific tool - and fun to use for a beginner like me. Highly, highly recommended!

The concept of adapting a language learning method on an iPod is brilliant. You effortlessly learn new words and phrases but more importantly, you can read and listen to their pronounciation. Because it's on iPod you can learn while travelling on the plane/train or you can use it in real situations as the phrases can be sorted into play lists of phrases you know you are going to need. Brilliant!
