We bought this after some deliberation and reading the reviews on here. It was our first born so I will admit to being overly cautious. As soon as it was setup any worries dissapeared. Installation took 2 minutes, switching both units on and they found each other within seconds. There is a green light on the receiver to confirm they are both talking to each other.We leave it sat in the charging cradle most of the time but you can walk around the house with it or the garden and it still works 100%. The big difference I noticed with this and the Tomy one we tried before it is this has zero interference. If the babys not making noise its silent. If she as much as rolls over though it will kick in. It has a lighting scale as well realted to the volume te babys making which I found usefull. In summary I could not recommend this product enough, it does exactly what it's supposed to and does it extremely well.

Product is excellent when it works but I've had to send two back in 7 months so be warned. I would also suggest a better set of re-chargeable batteries as the ones supplied run low through the night, and it has an annoying low battery warning, that keeps waking you up that is if the baby doesn't!

We bought this one as the reviews on Amazon put it out in front of the rest in the price range, and we haven't been disappointed. The reception on the parent unit is crystal clear and there's no feedback. Reading through the comments made by the other reviewers, we would agree with some of the negatives - yes, the battery life isn't as brilliant as it makes out to be, but we only use the parent unit on battery power in the evenings and set it back on its recharger base in our room overnight. Yes, the night-light doesn't really cast much light into the room. Yes, when you have it on low sensitivity the speakers on the parent unit seem to almost switch on and off according to whether the baby is making any noise (made us worry at first that the unit was switching on and of but then realised it was just the sensitivity) but we just keep it on maximum sensitivity all the time. These are all fairly minor points for us as our main reason for getting it was to reliably hear how our daughter was doing in her cot - it does that job beautifully and we've had no problems with reception either in our house or out in the garden.

Bought this monitor after going through all the reviews looking for a good digital one- and it seemed to fit the bill nicely- the design is great and simple to use features for a good price made it ideal. Unfortunately straight out the box the signal kept dropping, not for much- probably 30 seconds or so at a time, but as a new parent thats really worrying! Thought it might just be a defective unit so asked amazon for a new one- which can really quickly, but same thing happened. I think it may just be a bad batch or something but we cant be without a reliable monitor so am going for the BT 150- fingers crossed that one works properly!
Other than the fault i would say this is a wonderful little monitor!

We debated long and hard about what monitor to get and haven't been disappointed with this one. It is very sensitive (we can hear little one breathing at night which calms the wife), simple to use and we haven't had a problem with the battery life. (We just use it on the recharger overnight.)
