I purchased this for use with our baby daughter, who is currently in hospital. It consistently reads low. It tells me that she is below the ranges given in the instructions for her age and the reading location, giving me no confidence it it. It reads 35deg when the hospital thermometers I used to check it tell me she is 37. Two degrees difference is a huge amount on a 40 device and makes me not trust it at all. I plan to return mine.

I have found this very easy to use and it is minimally invasive (making it excellent for the younger members of the family). Good for adults too as it is very quick and easy to do on yourself. I have found that the plastic protectors can be wiped with a disinfectant wipe and re-used.

This ear thermometer is worth its weight in gold. It is very accurate, extremely quick and the grandson hardly knows you have used it. What a joy to have compared with other temperature taking products. Interestingly we went to his doctors with him and low and behold guess what she was using! We can not praise this product highly enough - it should be available to every parent and grandparent as a standard 'must have'

Having a son who suffers from febrile convulsions due to high tempratures, this is a godsend, allowing me to monitor his temp accuratly and quickly, meaning i can get him his pain relief as soon as possible, and hopefully get his temp down before he fits.
This is the second of these I have purchased from Amazon, as I have lost the first somwhere in the house, and I would rather shell out another 30 to have one to hand next day than be without one.

I saw these being used in the hospital and was impressed at how quick they were. Can understand why too with the pre-warming technique for the probe. It was becoming a challenge to take temperature of my youngest child, especially when she was unwell. The Braun was used at hospital for her after which we had to seriously consider getting one. It's child friendliness and accuracy have made it invaluable. Daughter responds much better to it so it gets 5 stars from us.
