1 out of 5 stars Don't bother   September 12, 2008

It hasn't got mirrors it has bits of tin foil which give you a headache, it's like looking in the funny mirrors at the fun fair. Don't bother buying.

1 out of 5 stars Just weird!   June 18, 2008

Ok, so it's got mirrors, but so have half the baby books on the market. It has no story or narrative, just a series of introductions to random characters with strange names. Why is the sun called Webster? Why does the cow not have a name?! My baby and I are not impressed!

1 out of 5 stars Mirror quality causes problems   January 17, 2008

I purchased a variety of books for my 2 month old son, and I was very dissapointed with this one. The mirrors are all distorted because they are very thin-material mirrors, and looking at them gives me an instant headache. My wife looked at the book and also got an unpleasant feeling when looking at the mirrors. We therefore are consigning the book to the dustbin and not letting our son look at it.

I would also be a bit wary of what a baby can actually learn by looking into such a distorted mirror. It might be funny when he is older to look at his face all messed up when he knows what his face should look like, but at a young age when he is learning what his face looks like it would seem to just confuse the child.

I would recommend to people looking for books to catch their children's interest to go for Faces (Baby's Very First Book) instead (plus that also has a similar mirror on the front page if you really want to show your child a distorted reflection of his face).

5 out of 5 stars My 10 month old's favourite book   November 26, 2007

The main appeal of this book is that there is a mirror on each page. My baby loves to look at himself in the mirror and, at the correct angle, can see me in the mirror doing the faces the book describes. A great buy.

3 out of 5 stars Loved by the baby   June 23, 2006

The baby loved it, but I can see no reason for the "Cow puffs his cheeks full of air." Every time I read that page I get irritated. Surely a company calling themselves "Baby Einstein" could get that right?
