I did not have any problem with the choice of colours and design, it's absolutely lovely (I had the real suede "silk flower red" model which I see is no longer available). I wear a small size 5 and I found the size EU 37 perfect for me. This sounds strange but I found this pair less comfortable at the toe post compared to my Betula Rap (similar design) that I find so so comfortable. Probably I have to wear it in for a couple of weeks to mould to shape of foot.

Wow! Firstly, let me just say Colour is really striking. Holographic silver. Exactly as pictured.
I am not at all familiar with the Birkenstock range as this is my first pair so here goes...
Well...! strange feeling to start off with as they are a little rigid. Although having said that, my feet feel really supported and the foot bed feels really soft too.
Walking feels fine. Just a little strange as before but, they will give after the wearing in stage and I really believe they will turn out to be, the most comfortable shoes I will ever wear.
Having a very wide foot I have struggled to find shoes comfortable and with style. I can honestly say I think these look fabulous. I am a fan of toe post anyway and these are by far (dare I say) funkiest! I have seen.
As far as the price is concerned. Well worth it so far and that's just my first day. They can only get better.
Please don't worry about receiving the wrong colour as I think Amazon must have sorted this out by now as I had no problems at all. Quick delivery too.

I find the papillio sandle very hard betwin the toes, compared to any other sandle of this type, and i do ware leather one's and thay are much better, and soft,

As I was warned by previous reviews the photo and actual item bear little relevance!
The item I chose was supposed to be red feather with, from picture shown, a lovely diamante buckle and decorative detail on toe post.
When the item arrived they were predominately pale pink with a cerise, yellow and aubergine feather pattern, a BLACK buckle and BLACK toe post.
Not so eye catching, and certainly dissappointing.
I have kept them though, as having read about them recently, I decided that my feet deserved a treat! Those 4" heels do indeed take their toll!
If I was guaranteed a pair as shown in the picture then I would not hesitate to purchase a further pair.

I ordered these shoes becaused they looked really pretty with the pattern through them. It only shows them in one colour (Red/Pink/Rose it doesn't even state what colour you are looking at on the screen) but I amsumed they would be similar but in a different colour. How wrong could I be - I ordered Pink they are very bright shocking pink and no pattern no nothing.
They are going straight back and it's now 4 days before I go abroad so no new shoes for me for holidays.
I think Amazon should be pulled up on this, for mis-selling or they should show photo's of all the colours so people see what they are ordering.
Since I wrote the above I phoned Amazon and they were really helpful they are sending out the patterned ones 1st class so I will have them for holidays
