Amazon.co.uk Review Producer Danny Boyle (Trainspotting) is behind this decadent comedy about a pair of lowlife but oddly intelligent Welsh brothers who generally make a pain of themselves in their small community, but who get serious about exacting revenge for a family tragedy. Director Kevin Allen succeeds at turning the entire film into a jacked-up freak show, with petty terrorism, cops on the take, a young virgin getting it on with a middle-aged creep and a male choir inexplicably singing Mungo Jerry's ancient hit "In the Summertime". Twin Town is loony, nasty stuff all around, but the only good laughs in the movie are top loaded into the first few minutes. After that, it's sheer tedium. --Tom Keogh

under rated September 16, 2008 This film is under rated by a number of people who seem to compare it to other films. This film made me laugh, and as im also welsh, i took it all in as a laugh and didnt take it seriously, there is a lot of language in the film but that doesnt matter as it adds to the humour. Extremely good film and a good choice of cast, definitely recommended
My favourite film January 22, 2008 What a film! both funny and cool. one of the only films i could watch again and again. the dialogue is amazing, and it is just really really cool

twin town is a comedy b ased around two brothers who seem to lack all common sence. This film is mostly appreciated by swanseas residents or by people who know swansea well.
The film does however put a bad take on swansea and shows the place to be rather un-flattering. If you are easily annoyed or upset by the 'wild' youth of today you'd better avoid this.
Suits anyone who has a modern and open sence of humour and a love for life and all people in it!
I loved it!!
P.S If you want to see the real swansea 'the Gower' is what it is all about!
Trainspotting would not put there name on it. October 1, 2006 3 out of 33 found this review helpful
When Twin Town came out alot of people said it was the masterminds behind Trainspotting and Lock Stock & Barrel. But sad to say that's abit of a joke. The movie lack's anything good and something you can laugh about. And in the whole movie it's all swear word's and fake welsh talk and actors that can't act and Eastender rejects. It's just a bunch of air head twins making havoc in Swansea. And trying to get money from there dad's boss the Rugby Club Chair Men and that the whole plot of this film nothing much and steel thing's like cars and money. If you wan't a better movie try Trainspotting Lock Stock and Barrel and Acid House and get rid of Twin Town and dump it in the sea.
Twin Town deserves better August 16, 2006 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
I enjoyed Twin Town. If this film had been made in Italy, or Spain, or France, it would have been acclaimed as a great "foreign" black comedy, and won a BAFTA or two. Because it was made in a "foreign" part of the United Kingdom, British film critics damned it. Well, what do you expect?
