These are amazing October 28, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
These are the best headphones I have experienced. The sound quality is fantastic - it delivers really good base and such smooth sound that it feels like my ears are being rubbed with silk. The in line volume control is great and I can't find anything wrong with these. They are better than headphones I have bought that are three times the price. The design is stylish and comfortable, and the speakers can swivel up so you can speak to people. They are ipod compatible and have quite a long lead. I would recommend these to anyone who listens to music.
Excellent quality October 7, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Having used in-ear phones for the last few years for personal use, and overheads only in the studio, I decided to spend a little bit extra (I usually spend around 25 on phones) to get a good quality set that I could use for both. I picked up a pair of Hesh, and I have to say that I am pleasently surprised. My experience with overheads is that, whilst you get a good measure of monitoring and a good stereo field, there tends to be a lot of sound leakage. The noise reduction is easily equal to, if not greater than a pair of in-ear buds. The sound quality is excellent. Very bassy, very loud without distortion, and with a very wide stereo image. It makes me feel as though I'm in the studio, and they're comfy to boot! As far as exras go, there's not that much, which i like. When I buy a pair of phones, thats what I want. I don't need a bottle opener or stickers or whatever, nor do I want to pay extra for these. There is however the usual carry bag, which although i never use them, may come in handy if I'm travelling and need to pack them. All in all, an excellent product. I would recommend them to anyone.
They play loud August 21, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Skullcandy, HESH headphones
These Hesh do as the blurb says. They are loud. I listen to early sixties rock n roll and Bon Jovi, Guns N Roses, Dave Bowie, Madonna, Sharleen Spiteri.etc I have already enjoyed the Skullcandy Low Riders. Wanted the Hesh as an upgrade, with more base, louder. Which the Hesh deliver. The base is great. It is a good, tight and fairly loud base, underpinning the rest of the music. The drums are hit hard, NOT sounding like cardboard boxes,as with some head phones. The vocal is well defined, but sometimes a bit edgy, but that could be due to some of the early sixties stuff that I listen to. The overall sound is fairly transparent, has quite a bit of depth, - as well as the normal sound screen, - vocals in the centre.
They are not the most lively of headphones, and could do with some of the bounce, that the lowriders possess. I would have liked to have heard more of the cymbals. The ear pads can be tight over a fairly long listening session, but that is not really a problem. They keep a lot of the outside noise from intruding on the music. So , for the money, they are good . The bass is very good. And they do play loud. The more I am playing them, the more I am appreciating them.
Cute =D August 20, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
First, to S. Knight, i had no problem pushing back from one ear. My only problem with these headphones is the very short cord. I'm talking about 1foot. It comes with an extension cord but this can't take strong tugs without pulling off.
However, over all these are great headphones, good to look at and good rich sound quality. Specially the fluffy zebra print earpads and lining x)
A good pair. May 20, 2008 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
As headphones go these are good, nothing special, but good. They have outlived the last two pairs I have purchased. The 50mm drivers make for good, loud sound quality.
What might not be evident in the pictures is how rounded they are, you may get a few Mickey mouse jokes made on your part.
They have stood up to quite a lot of bumps and knocks, with the cord ripped out of my ipod many times and they stay intact unlike my last pair of (different) Skullcandys.
I recommend it for a cheap good quality purchase.
