Product Description Dynamic, exquisite, absolutely gorgeous! The extraordinary new Powerball Signature, with its sapphire white light neon rotor revolving within a subtly smoked shell, is truly a design classic and will exceed the very highest expectations of Powerball fans all over the world. We are talking silky smooth movement here!Put its rotor in motion, and the ball instantly comes alive with Gyroscopic force - a sublime yet pleasant resistance to the movement of your wrist and hand, and one which grows in its intensity as the speed of the rotor builds...faster and faster...up to a point where it is thrashing and jerking furiously, literally exploding with inertia and almost impossible to control! This limited edition gyroscope has a top speed in excess of 16,000rpm and can generate over 40lbs of resistance on the hands and arms as it spins (which is quite extraordinary given that it is just the size of a tennis ball and weighs under 300grams!).

Pretty good for the price, not a gimmick like i thought September 19, 2008 This powerball is actually pretty cool, it does excercise your forearm and definately your hand to some extent although i remain skeptical as to it being able to excercise the bicep and pectoral muscles (as shown in the little minidisc that accompanies this powerball version), this along with some captains of crush grippers will definately help improve hand strength. I originally thought this was another gimmicky fitness thing of which there are so many... but i think i was wrong this time, its definately got its uses. For low-average strength people this powerball should suffice, for strong people they should look into the metal 350hz version. Its pretty addictive, ive picked it up randomly a few times today, my hands are all sore now though so id better leave it alone until tomorrow :p
Overall im pleased with this product, once you figure out how to work it its easy from there, this version came with a clip on strap that can go around your wrist in case you are worried about dropping it and having it fly through your television or whatever.
It works, it lights up but its boring September 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Far too much marketing hype, it is well made, it has a nice weight and it is clever. After a couple of attemps I made it spin OK and light up and it certainly look pretty but after a few days and a few attempts its just very boring. Sure with practice I could get it to spin faster much faster but you look like a nerd to anyone else. Of course it makes your wrists ache, I have no doubt it will improve hand and wrist strength but I think it has a short span of interest. Sorry to say that if you a PowerBall enthusiast but thats just my view a rather boring gadget

When i read about the Powerball and watched a few of the videos i couldn't wait to receive it. In truth the gimmick of it does wear off after a few goes, and you will be surprised how many of your friends will have trouble getting it to do anything! I find that amongst the guys at a party it can be a good laugh for a few minutes as everyone tries to outdo one another. I think that your money could be better spent elsewhere if you intend on using this as a strength builder and as part of an exercise routine i'm sceptical about the benefits. Shame it's not a bit cheaper as i would have gave it more stars. Unfortunately most of the cheaper models do not have the score counter, which nullifies the competition element. The only real reason to buy one!
Awesomely addictive July 17, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I can't begin to say how great this product is, it has so many different techniques for building up wrist strength, bicep strength, pectoral strength and the health benefits like RSI. I tried it out for so long when I got it I took a bit of skin off of my finger! but stuck a plaster on and in the first hour and a half I reached a speed of 10131.
If you stick at it when you recieve it you will easily get the technique wrist movement and will be able to start it spinning with your thumb. You get 3 starter strings so that should last you until you get the hang to using your thumb.
The noise it makes is nothing when your on your own as your dont really notice it and it is a good indictor of how fast your going when it gets more high pitched and louder (with the cool light getting brighter). When your in a room with others they'll just look at you, too facinated by the lights to tell you to naff off!
All in all its great fun and addictive and with the benefits of increasing strength/rehabilitation, you can use it anywhere while reading a book, watching TV, running etc.
Oh and its good to use the wrist string until you can get the hang of the spin because if you drop it at high speeds it WILL go through the wall!

I bought this product a few days ago to see what all the fuss was about. It's quite fun once you become proficient at starting the ball every time. The initial attempts often result in a few stallings but now using it after a few days, the muscles in my arms seemed to have become harder. Without doubt, a purchase I am proud of!
