Additionally, the nuevi 350 is compatible with Garmin's GTM 10 FM TMC traffic receiver*, which allows users to avoid traffic tie-ups by simply pushing a button that will calculate a new route. Garmin nuvi 350 ROCKS October 13, 2008 This is a great product. easy to set up, easy to use, easy to see and hear the instructions. love it. never get lost or arrive late again. even tells you your estimated arrival time!
Garmin Nuvi 350 October 13, 2008 This was a gift for my spouse who remains delighted with it. We had a lot of fun playing with it, putting in addresses and seeing its response. The other reviews were right on, and our experiences were similar. One thing we did not anticipate is that the software version for this Nuvi purchased in September, 2008 was dated 2006! and many addresses are not available. A search on the Garmin site said that he'd need to spend $60 to get the current software. We were not pleased. However, when he registered the product on the Garmin web site a one time free version update was offered which he immediately accepted.
Garmin Nuvi350 review October 12, 2008 This is actually Sue, Ken's wife, & I bought this for a trip to Oklahoma, that my daughter-in-law, & my 2 grandsons & I were going to be taking. It worked out great! It was very easy to use, & was very helpful when it came to some road construction & we had to make some detours. Also, we were stopping around St. Louis at my daughter's, & it was right after Hurricane Ike had blown through, & there were some water problems, with flooding, so we had to find some alternate routes because of that. So, that came in handy there as I certainly don't know that area at all!! Ken & I also took it recently to Schererville, Ill. for a wedding, & it took us right to the hotel where we were staying; was really nice.
Pretty good October 12, 2008 I've never had a GPS navigator and I really liked this one. I used the location functions for the nearest gas stations which help (especially when your low on gas and are unfamiliar with the area). I'm not too fond of the car attachment, though. A bit flimsy and it obstructs my windshield view.
Older driver. October 12, 2008 My nuvi 350 is just what I needed to find those addresses in unfamiliar towns. It took a while to learn but what a time saver, and it makes me a safer driver, not having the distraction of looking for street signs. As an older driver it allows me more complete attention to my driving.
